The Schaesberg Castle Estate Foundation
Mission
The Schaesberg Castle Estate Foundation goals are to rebuild Schaesberg Castle, the Castle grounds and its surroundings in a historically and scientifically responsible way. The castle is not only a cultural-historical public attraction but it is also an education and training centre for the further development of practical craftsmanship techniques.
ANBI
Since a visit in the middle of December 2015, The Dutch tax authorities initiated the arrangements for The Schaesberg Castle Estate Foundation to officially become a cultural ANBI. As of January 1st 2015 The Schaesberg Castle Estate Foundation is an officially registered Cultural ANBI.
ANBI-status
An ANBI status means that it is exempt from gift and inheritance law. This means that every donation to the foundation can be used in its entirety. All those who makes a donation to the foundation can deduct his or her donation from their income or corporation tax, within of course the applicable rules.
Cultural ANBI
A gift donated to an ANBI which is classified as a cultural institution will temporarily provide an extra tax benefit upon income tax and cooperation tax. A tax benefit which applies to income tax allows for 1,25 of the amount of the gift to be deducted. This extra reduction is allowed on gifts donated to cultural institution up to the maximum amount of € 5.000. For cooperation tax this allows for 1,5 times the amount of the donated gift to be deducted. Also for cooperation tax this extra reduction is allowed on gifts donated to cultural institution up to the maximum amount of € 5.000.

Organisation
BOEi National Society for Restoration & Reclassification of Cultural Sites is the director of The Schaesberg Castle Estate Foundation. The Board of Directors is comprised of:

Compensation policy
The compensation policy of the management conforms with the guidelines of the Association for Fundraising Institutes (VFI). The compensation policy is clearly stated in the guidelines of the Foundation.
